Where to Find co-op misions/Quests please?
Hi
I have just started playing GW with a mate and we seem to be just running around randomly fighting little charr blokes. Can someone advice how to start a co-op mission or quest. We have literally only just done our proffesions training. Cheers Baz |

Are you in Pre or Post-Searing, as in, have you talked to Sir Tydus yet and done the mission with Prince Rurik. If not, do that, if so, go from Ascalon City to the Great Northen Wall (they're attached to each other, and there is a linking quest avliable from Warmaster Tydus).
Hope this helps, let me know if it does (or doesn't). |

Since you are "fighting little charr blokes" I assume you are playing Prophecies? If that's true then you probably haven't yet left the trainning area refered to as Pre-Searing Ascalon. In Pre-Searing there are no co-op missions(or any misions at all for that matter), and only 2 quests that require you to be in a group of 2(2 is the maximum group size in Pre); Across the Wall and Adventure with an Ally. Once you leave pre-searing you can do missions.

You don't give much info to go on. So, I assume that you are still in pre-searing? In pre-searing there are only a few things that require more than one player, but you and your buddy can join up together in a party. I'm not sure if you need the "Adventure With An Ally" quest first, though.
Check here: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Adventure_with_an_Ally After you leave the "academy" there will be more quests and missions to do. |

thanks guys
I think we must be in 'pre-searing' whatever that means? we just bought the bog standard guild wars so is that prophecies? We have literally only been playing for a couple of hours and havnt done anything apart from getting a pet, choosing proffesions adn running around looking for a co-op mission. We have formed a party together. cheers again Baz |

Then yes, once you do a few quests there, Sir Tydus in Ascalon City (he is up near the large gate...not the portal) will give you a quest that will take you to "the real game"
Once you are in post-searing Ascalon, make sure to open up your map (using M) and look at the difference |

If the scenery is all beautiful and whatnot, then you're in Pre Searing. Basically it's the tutorial area of Guild Wars. Once you picked your secondary profession, you can go through this mission that will take you to Post Searing. You'll know when you get there. From there, there's a co-op mission right next to Ascalon City. It's called [wiki]The Great Northern Wall[/wiki]. After you do that, you'll start getting quests and more missions to do that will hopefully keep you busy for a while.
Don't forget to do some of the side quests though, since those are your main source of exp (along with missions) and you'll get more free skills from a few of them. |

Luuurvly game int it!!!
Just did the post searing bit and now see what you mean. It all seems to hang together quite nicely and despite not finding an co-op mission we were still running around together fighting and doing stuff together so havnt quite got my head round that yet, maybe i,m just being a bit thick. Anyway, top game going to get on now..... cheers again Baz |
